Rendlesham Good Neighbour Scheme

Published: 20 March 2020

Rendlesham Good Neighbour Schemes has been operating for over a year now, doing 'favours' for Rendlesham residents including but not limited to, shopping, dog walking, DIY and getting people to medical appointments. There are 20 volunteers who are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding and dementia awareness. The scheme is also insured for all its activities and is fully coordinated for efficiency and sensitivity.

In these unprecedented times, while we all deal with the challenges the COVID19 pandemic has created, the outpouring of kindness by individuals and organisations is a wonderful thing. The Rendlesham GNS would like everyone to know their services are available to all who need them. They naturally expect to be much busier than usual so are looking for more volunteers. If you have been moved to offer your time to help others who are vulnerable or self isolating please get in touch.
Call 07486 551 004 for more information.
