Rendlesham Community Centre Charity

The Community Centre Committee oversees the management and development of the Rendlesham Community Centre (registered charity no. 1125733). The committee ensures the centre operates smoothly, supports community activities, and remains financially sustainable. It also fulfills the Parish Council’s obligations as the corporate trustee.

The committee includes councillors appointed annually by Full Council. Additional non-voting members may be co-opted to support operational work, events, or advisory roles.

Responsibilities

The committee is responsible for overseeing daily operations, building maintenance, staff and volunteer coordination, budget management, and community programming. Major policy decisions or capital projects are referred to Full Council. You can view the full Terms of Reference (PDF).

Meetings

The committee meets at least four times per year and more frequently as required. Meeting minutes are shared with the Parish Council, ensuring transparency and accountability in the committee’s work.
